Oppo has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Find X7 Ultra, featuring an innovative camera system with two periscope zoom lenses.

The "HyperTone Camera System" boasts four rear cameras, each with a 50-megapixel resolution. The main camera uses Sony's second-gen 1-inch sensor, while the ultra-wide camera features a 1/1.95-inch Sony sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The standout feature is the inclusion of two periscope telephoto cameras, offering 3x and 6x optical zoom capabilities. Oppo claims significant breakthroughs in mobile photography, introducing the "HyperTone Image Engine" for improved HDR and computational photography results.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra focuses on delivering more realistic portrait shots with its new "Hasselblad Portrait Mode," promising cinematic bokeh with foreground and background depth. Oppo aims to avoid fake-looking bokeh and poor edge detection, ensuring accuracy down to a single strand of hair.

The phone also introduces the "Hasselblad Master Mode," inspired by the characteristics of the Hasselblad X2D 100C camera, providing users with advanced control over various shooting features.

The device comes in three color options with a vegan leather cover, and despite the additional periscope camera, maintains a similar weight and thickness as its predecessor. The Find X7 Ultra features a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with Oppo's brightest-ever QHD display, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-low touch latency. It incorporates a 5,000mAh battery with wireless charging support and boasts a "VIP slider" for quick changes to notification modes or extreme privacy settings.

While the Find X7 Ultra is currently only planned for release in China, it is available for pre-order with prices ranging from 5,999 yuan (about $845) to 6,999 yuan (about $990).

In addition to the Find X7 Ultra, Oppo introduced a budget-friendly variant, the Find X7, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor. The base model features triple cameras and a slightly smaller 6.78-inch OLED screen. The Find X7 starts at 3,999 yuan (about $560) and goes up to 4,999 yuan (about $700) for the highest configuration.
