Norwegian software company Opera has released a preview of its redesigned browser, Opera One, which will be launched for all platforms later this year.

The new browser is equipped with a range of features designed to help users manage their browsing, including 'tab islands' that group together similar pages and content for easy reference. Joanna Czajka, product director at Opera stated:

“Tab Islands are a natural way of arranging your tabs into contextual groups without disturbing your flow. They make it easy to keep tabs that relate to each other in groups that you can open and collapse as needed. This makes browsing with many tabs more efficient, allowing for a more pleasant, liquid browsing experience.”

The browser's modular design is said to be well-suited to integrating generative AI features and extensions, with the company noting that the new product is set to introduce a range of innovative tools for browsing and managing content.

Opera One also comes with integrated AI chatbots, including ChatGPT and ChatSonic, that offer quick access to customer service support, and an AI Prompts feature that suggests ways in which users can interact with the chatbots.
