They could help write and refine text, summarize key points in existing notes, and generate task lists.

Notion is making its AI features available to all users after internal testing. 'Notion AI' could write text and fix mistakes, make an abstract or a spreadsheet, or whatever users want.

How it works

  • First, you should select the type of writing you want help with from a list. It includes options like "blog post", "marketing email" and "to-do list"
  • Then you provide Notion AI with a suitable prompt
  • Hit the blue "Generate" button and wait for a result in real-time

As The Verge points out, the Notion AI interface is 'straightforward'. Like other generative AIs, it benefits from the specific user's prompts. For example, when The Verge asked Notion AI to write a blog post about the state of the smartwatch industry, it resulted in a draft with Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch and Tizen mention.

Everyone can try new features for free for a while. Then, users will have to pay for the subscription. You could add Notion AI to any paid plan for $8 per member/month, billed annually, or $10 per member/month if you prefer monthly payments and a Free plan, according to the company's price list.

Notion is the company behind the popular note-taking app with whiteboard features. The company started testing its AI service in November 2022, back in the day users should wait to use Notion AI, but now it's available to anyone.
