Upgrade your emoji game in the group chat by downloading iOS 16.4.

It's that time of year again, and new emoji have arrived with Apple's recently launched iOS 16.4 update. The new emoji include a moose, a goose, a pink heart, and a Wi-Fi symbol.

But that's not all the update has to offer. You can now receive push notifications from Safari web apps on your home screen, which could make web apps more useful. Additionally, the company has added voice isolation for cellular calls and improved crash detection for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro phones.

To download and install iOS 16.4 on your iPhone, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, and the update should be available. If it's not there, give it a few minutes as Apple's updates can take a bit to roll out. If you're using a Mac, macOS Ventura 13.3 is also available now.

The complete iOS 16.4 release notes from Apple are as follows:

  • 21 new emoji, including animals, hand gestures, and objects, are now available on the emoji keyboard
  • Web app notifications have been added to the Home Screen
  • Voice isolation for cellular calls prioritizes your voice and blocks out ambient noise around you
  • The duplicates album in Photos now detects duplicate photos and videos in an iCloud Shared Photo Library
  • VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app
  • An accessibility setting has been added to automatically dim video when flashes of light or strobe effects are detected
  • Fixed an issue where Ask to Buy requests from children may fail to appear on the parent's device
  • Addressed issues where Matter-compatible thermostats could become unresponsive when paired with Apple Home
  • Crash detection has been optimized for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models

Please note that some features may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices.
