Meta integrates Threads with Facebook to boost user engagement

Meta's Threads platform is taking a new approach to boost user engagement by displaying Threads posts on Facebook.

Users have reported seeing a "For You on Threads" carousel on the Facebook app, similar to a feature introduced for Instagram users in August. While Meta has not disclosed the impact of this strategy on Threads' engagement, it represents an effort to integrate the two platforms more closely.

Threads has recently introduced several new features, including a free edit button and the ability to switch between accounts, with plans to launch a "Trending topics" feature. The platform, often compared to Twitter, offers its features for free, although it has certain limitations in terms of news coverage and amplification.

Meta is working on separate account deletion for Threads, aiming for a December launch, as currently, users can only deactivate their Threads accounts.
