Mercedes-Benz has introduced its new electric CLA sedan, which the company describes as its most technologically advanced vehicle to date and a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3.

The model features an 85 kWh battery rated for up to 600 km of range. Two variants will be available: a 268 hp rear-wheel-drive version and the 349 hp all-wheel-drive CLA 350 4MATIC.

The drag coefficient comes in at 0.21, one of the best figures in its class. The exterior design includes an illuminated star-pattern grille and a glowing Mercedes-Benz emblem.

The CLA is built on an 800-volt architecture that supports charging speeds of up to 320 kW, allowing the car to recover roughly 160 km of range in five minutes.

Production and initial deliveries begin next month, with a significant ramp-up expected in early 2026. Pricing starts at $36,990.
