This highly anticipated hybrid instant film camera is set to hit the market on November 9th, with a price tag of $389.
While the Leica Sofort 2 keeps the charm of instant photography, it includes a hybrid element - a 1/5-inch digital sensor. This feature enables users to select and print their favorite photos, providing greater control over the final prints. In addition, the camera can print images taken with a smartphone, giving photographers flexibility.
The Leica Sofort 2 also offers modern conveniences: USB-C support, several lens options and a photo printing lever. The camera's design features two new color options, red and black, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
Looking to compete with the popular Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo instant print camera, the Leica Sofort 2 offers similar printing capabilities, as well as ten film effects and a macro mode for close-up shots. A special feature of the device is its compatibility with other Leica cameras, allowing images saved in the Leica FOTOS app to be printed via the USB-C port.
Additionally, the camera sports a modern, minimalist design, akin to other digital Leica cameras, setting it apart from the retro-inspired look of its competitor.
