Israeli defense electronics company Elbit Systems announced that its subsidiary Universal Avionics Systems Corp. won a $33 million contract to supply Enhanced Flight Vision Systems (EFVS) for Boeing 737NG aircraft for AerSale Corporation.

Boeing 737NG family includes such aircraft as Boeing 737-600, 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900 - the most popular narrow-body aircraft model row in the world.

Under the contract, Universal Avionics will supply the ClearVision EFVS system, which is a certified combined vision system designed to enable commercial aircraft pilots to overcome degraded visibility situations at day and night.

Elbit Systems Aerospace general manager Yoram Shmuely believes this system is a game-changer.

We see a renewed demand in the commercial aviation market for innovative yet certified vision capabilities that enable efficient and safe flights during degraded visibility situations.
