Israel Innovation Authority announced a budget of $29 million to build a quantum computing research center, which will help build a quantum computer.

In February, it was announced that Israel Innovation Authority and the Defense Ministry were planning to develop a new quantum computer that will cost about $62 million.

The new centre will be led by an Israeli startup Quantum Machines, which was founded in 2018 and since then has already built a hardware and software solution — Quantum Orchestration Platform (QOP) — for operating quantum systems to facilitate research and enable future breakthroughs. It has also developed the QUA, a standard universal language for quantum computers, that we have written about recently.
