Apple is testing new design changes for the iPhone 18 Pro, including a smaller Dynamic Island, according to 9to5Mac.
The company is reportedly working on moving some Face ID components under the display. This could reduce the size of the Dynamic Island by about 35% compared to the iPhone 17 Pro.
However, the change is not final. Supply chain sources cited by Digital Chat Station suggest Apple is currently testing two versions: one that keeps the existing display design, and another featuring a “Mini Dynamic Island” with Face ID components placed under the screen.
If Apple chooses the first option, the Dynamic Island design may remain largely unchanged.
The report also notes Apple is considering adjustments to the overall front design, aiming for a more uniform look across glass and aluminum elements. New color options are also expected for the iPhone 18 lineup.
