Apple has replaced the MagSafe stands used to showcase the new iPhones in U.S. Apple Stores, 9to5Mac reports.
Shortly after launch, demo units began showing fine scratches on their screens. The culprit turned out to be the magnetic mounts holding the devices in place.
Apple engineers designed a new stand with an improved locking mechanism. Now the phones are securely fixed without touching any metal parts of the display mount.
The replacement has already been rolled out across all U.S. retail stores and will soon be introduced in international locations as well.
The update is particularly important ahead of the iPhone 17 launch, with its upgraded display. Apple is aiming to ensure customers see the devices in perfect condition.
