After over three months of beta testing, this highly anticipated update will soon be available for installation through the Settings app.

The update should be released to users around 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday.

Here are 10 key features that come with iOS 17:

StandBy

A full-screen view designed for glanceable information when your iPhone is charging on a nightstand, counter, or desk. It offers customizable widgets, clock styles, calendar, photos, weather, music controls, and more.

Contact Posters

Create personalized Contact Posters that appear during incoming phone calls on other people's iPhones, allowing you to add a photo or Memoji, customize fonts, and background colors.

NameDrop

Easily share contact information by bringing your iPhones close together, enabling users to select specific phone numbers or email addresses to share.

Live Voicemail

Real-time transcription of voicemails with the option to pick up the call while the caller is leaving a message.

Swipe to Reply in iMessage

In the Messages app, swipe right on any message to send an inline reply quickly.

Interactive Widgets

These widgets can be used across the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy view, allowing actions like marking reminders as completed, controlling music playback, or managing HomeKit accessories.

Improved Autocorrect

iOS 17 includes a state-of-the-art language model for more accurate word prediction and autocorrection. Predictive text recommendations are also shown as you type.

Apple Maps Offline

Users can now download maps for offline use, enabling turn-by-turn navigation and other map-related features without an internet connection.

Stickers Drawer

A centralized location for all stickers, including Live Stickers, emoji, Memoji, and iMessage sticker packs.

"Hey Siri" Shortened

You can now activate Siri with just "Siri" instead of "Hey Siri," and activate multiple commands without repeating the wake phrase.

With iOS 17, Apple continues to enhance the iPhone user experience by introducing these innovative features and improvements.
