Instagram now lets you change music on old posts

Instagram has introduced a new “Replace Audio” feature that lets users change the song on already published posts and carousels without deleting them.

Previously, users had to delete a post and upload it again to change the soundtrack, losing the existing engagement attached to it.

The new “Replace Audio” tool allows users to update the track while keeping the post’s likes, comments, shares, and reach.

To change the music on an existing post:

• Open the post or carousel
• Tap the menu icon in the top-right corner
• Select Edit
• Choose Replace Audio
• Pick a new track and tap Done

The feature is rolling out globally.
