Meta tests Instagram Plus subscription with exclusive features

Meta has started testing a new paid subscription called Instagram Plus, according to Digital Trends.

The publication reports that early details surfaced after a Reddit user shared screenshots showing prompts for the new subscription inside the Instagram app. Notably, the prompts reportedly appeared even for users who continue using the free version, suggesting Meta is testing interest before a broader rollout.

Instagram Plus focuses on additional controls and analytics. The subscription may include multiple audiences for Stories, insights into who rewatched content, searchable viewer lists and the ability to preview Stories before posting.

Other reported features include extended Story visibility, Super Hearts and the option to spotlight Stories. The feature set appears aimed primarily at active creators who want more control over how their content is distributed and viewed.
