In France, Tesla Owners File Class Action Lawsuit Over Musk’s Behavior

A group of French Tesla owners has filed a class action lawsuit against the company, accusing Elon Musk of damaging the brand’s reputation.

According to Reuters, citing law firm GKA, the plaintiffs are seeking to terminate their leasing contracts and recover legal fees. Lawyers argue that Musk’s behavior has made the Tesla brand politically charged:

The backlash stems from Musk’s vocal support for U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and the far-right AfD party in Germany. Incidents of vandalism have been reported in multiple countries — Teslas have been shot at, defaced with slurs and swastikas, and targeted with Molotov cocktails. Tesla’s European office declined to comment.
