Bloomberg insider and editor Mark Gurman said that Apple will introduce more of its own chips over the next year, including the M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra and M3.

According to Gurman, in order to achieve this, Apple had to transfer staff from testing and Mac development to the development of new chips. The question of whether such personnel reshuffle will affect other products of the company remains open.

As Gurman notes, the company will not update chips of almost all new iPhone models. All iPhone 14 models will retain last year's A15 chip this fall, with only the Pro version getting the new A16 chip.

Also, as Mark points out, Apple intends to release the new AirPods Pro later this year. It is likely they will not receive heart rate monitoring but may be able to detect the user's pulse or body temperature. At the same time Apple Watch Series 8 will learn to determine the moments when the user has a fever. Mark expects this feature to appear both in the standard Apple Watch Series 8 and in the new version aimed at extreme sports enthusiasts. It is unlikely that this feature will be available in the cheaper SE model, which will also appear this year.
