A video showing Google’s Aluminium OS in action has surfaced online, 9to5Google reports. The operating system was first revealed back in November last year.

Aluminium OS is a hybrid of Android and ChromeOS, designed specifically for personal computers.

The footage appeared as part of a bug report, meaning it does not reveal much in terms of major new features. However, it does offer a look at the interface design, which visually resembles ChromeOS.

The video demonstrates a dual-window layout, a taskbar, and various user interface elements. The system was running on an HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 Chromebook, with the build number listed as ALOS (Aluminium OS) ZL1A.260119.001.A1.

An official release date has not yet been announced. Some leaks, however, have pointed to 2026 as a possible launch window.
