Full autonomy of Elon Musk's Optimus remains a distant goal

In a pre-scripted demo, Elon Musk's robot, Optimus, showcased its laundry-folding capabilities, managing to fold a T-shirt on a table.

Although the video shows the robot successfully performing an action, Musk clarified that Optimus wasn't acting autonomously and operated more like a marionette, following preset instructions.

The robot's ability to perform tasks fully autonomously, without constraints, remains a future goal. Elon Musk's ambitious timeline for full autonomy, initially suggested within three to five years, is met with skepticism, given the current state of the technology.
