It is almost twice as expensive as the AirPods Max.

Dyson reveals more details about launching air-purifying headphones Zone. Developers are going to release it in the first quarter of 2023. Customers will be able to purchase the device for $949, according to the company's website.

Dyson Zone is wireless headphones with an integrated electrostatic air filter. The filters feature a dual-layer design that incorporates potassium-enriched carbon to capture acidic gasses like nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone. The developers claim that the device neutralizes 99 polluting particles, and the filters are usable for 12 months.

When it comes to sound, Dyson Zone offers up to 38 decibels of noise cancellation and reproduces frequencies from 6Hz-21kHz. The headphones support SBC, AAC and LHDC audio codecs, as well as Bluetooth 5.0. Its autonomy depends on the intensity of air filter’s usage: slowest settings reduce battery life to meager four hours, Increasing purification speed to “Mid” reduces battery life to two-and-a-half hours and “High” to one-and-a-half hours, respectively. Without a filter headphones work for approximately 50 hours.

Dyson is going to start selling in January in China and in March in the US. The device goes in two colors: Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue and Prussian Blue/Bright Copper.
