iPhone 17 Pro gets a case with a built-in screen and expandable storage

Chinese company Dockcase has unveiled the Selfix case, which features up to 2 TB of storage and a secondary display on the back panel.

The accessory includes a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480×480 pixels, along with a microSD slot supporting memory cards of up to 2 TB.

Selfix connects to the iPhone via USB-C and draws power directly from the device. The rear display is powered by the phone’s battery and can be turned on or off using a physical button on the side of the case.

Dimensions of the case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max are 169 mm in height, 81 mm in width, and 17 mm in thickness.

For the iPhone 17 Pro, the expected dimensions are 156 mm in height, 76 mm in width, and 17 mm in thickness. The case will be available in three colours: oat white, blush pink, and midnight black.

The product is set to launch on Kickstarter, with crowdfunding expected to begin next year. The estimated starting price is $100, and the microSD card is not included.
