Apple to offer theft and loss coverage for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch

Apple has expanded its AppleCare+ protection plan to include coverage for theft and loss across more of its mobile and wearable devices.

The updated subscription now allows users to insure not just iPhones, but also iPads and Apple Watches against loss or theft — a feature previously exclusive to iPhones. It includes up to two theft or loss claims per year, along with unlimited repairs for accidental damage.

• Until now, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss was only available for new iPhones. iPads and Apple Watches were covered under the standard AppleCare+ repair plan.
• The new package offers broader coverage across all three devices for $19.99/month, with the option to add additional devices for $5.99/month each.

The plan is available without requiring AppleCare One. Individually, theft and loss coverage starts at $4.99/month (or $49.99/year) for iPad, and $2.99/month (or $29.99/year) for Apple Watch.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is still not available for Mac, Apple TV, HomePod, AirPods, or Apple Vision Pro.
