Last week, Apple registered a wordmark for "xrOS," adding the anticipation surrounding its forthcoming mixed reality headset.
The registration suggests that "xrOS" will be the name of the operating system used by the headset and other AR/VR devices.
A shell company of Apple submitted the application for the trademark with the same name earlier this year. The wordmark uses the San Francisco typeface created by Apple, and aligns with the logos of its other operating systems.
Apple reportedly considered both "realityOS" and "xrOS" for its new mixed reality platform, but Bloomberg has reported that it has settled on the latter.
The company is expected to announce the Apple Reality Pro headset on June 5, with availability expected to be limited and a price tag of $3,000.
