Apple is accelerating work on three new AI-enhanced devices — smart glasses, a wearable pendant, and updated AirPods, according to Bloomberg.

All three products are expected to be built around an upgraded, AI-driven version of Siri. The devices will connect to the iPhone and feature integrated camera systems with varying capabilities. The pendant can reportedly be clipped to clothing or worn as a necklace. Apple is targeting 2027 for the launch of its smart glasses, while the AirPods and pendant could arrive as early as this year.

Sources cited by Bloomberg say the AirPods and pendant are designed as simpler devices with low-resolution cameras to support AI functionality. The pendant would activate a microphone for Siri voice commands.

The smart glasses, meanwhile, are expected to offer higher resolution and expanded features. They would include two cameras, one for capturing high-quality images and another for analyzing surroundings and measuring distances between objects.

The broader goal is to create an AI assistant capable of understanding a user’s environment in real time. Users could look at an object, ask about it, and receive contextual help, such as identifying a dish and retrieving its recipe.

Following the report, Apple shares rose 2.7% to an intraday high of $262.74. The company previously signed a multi-year partnership with Google, under which Gemini is expected to power the next generation of Siri.
