Apple is reportedly planning to refresh the look of its next flagship by introducing brighter, more vibrant color options for the iPhone 18 Pro, marking a shift away from the dark, minimalist finishes that have long defined the Pro lineup.

According to Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, the company is currently testing burgundy, coffee, and purple finishes for the new model.

All three shades are said to have a warmer palette compared to the current generation. At the same time, Apple is reportedly preparing to phase out the long-standing Space Black and Graphite options that have been staples of its professional lineup for years.

If accurate, the leak suggests the iPhone 18 Pro could become Apple’s first flagship without a classic black variant. Digital Chat Station has previously shared reliable details about upcoming Apple devices, though not all of its predictions have proven fully correct.

The rumored colors also tie back to Apple’s design history. Purple was first introduced with the iPhone 12 and became one of the line’s most popular options. The new coffee finish could build on the “desert gold” hue from the iPhone XS, while burgundy may serve as a subtle nod to Apple’s long-running (Product) Red editions.
