Anthropic has launched reports that let employers see where employees’ AI token spending goes, including how much is spent on sessions that produce nothing usable.
The new smart reports for Claude Enterprise show what teams use the chatbot for, what they produce, and how much that work costs. Managers can review activity covering up to 28 days and see which work sessions were the most expensive.

The reports also identify spending on unsuccessful tasks and personal or off-topic conversations. Individual work sessions can appear with summaries and, where the organization permits it, employee names. Personal conversations are included only in aggregate figures, without names or session details.

That gives employers a more detailed view of workplace AI use, connecting the bill to the work employees are doing. Anthropic says the reports must not be used to evaluate individual performance or make employment decisions.
The company also introduced shared team budgets and employee surveys alongside the reports. All three features became generally available for Claude Enterprise on October 28.
