Apple appears to have accidentally leaked details about its upcoming Mac mini, which will feature five USB-C ports, according to a code change discovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris.
The leak confirms reports by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who earlier mentioned the next-gen Mac mini would include five USB-C ports, with two located on the front, similar to the Mac Studio.
Expected to be powered by Apple’s M4 and M4 Pro chips, the new Mac mini is anticipated to receive its first major redesign since 2010. The device is rumored to be nearly as small as an Apple TV, and it will lack USB-A ports, which were included in previous models. The current Mac mini, released in January 2023, features four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, and a headphone jack.
The new Mac mini is expected to debut at Apple’s October event, where other M4 Macs and a new iPad mini could also be announced.
