Apple's upcoming Watch Series 10 will introduce a new sleep apnea detection feature, though it may not be available at launch, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The feature, which builds on existing sleep tracking, will assess if a wearer shows signs of sleep apnea and recommend further testing. However, its debut may be delayed due to legal challenges regarding blood oxygen monitoring, a key component of the detection system.

While Apple's dispute with Masimo over blood oxygen measurement remains unresolved, the feature could still arrive via a software update later.

Additionally, Apple has delayed plans for a hypertension detection feature due to inconsistent results during testing.

The Series 10 model will also feature a thinner design and slightly larger screens, expected to be revealed alongside the iPhone 16 at Apple's September event.
