Meta introduces new features for Instagram and Threads app

Meta unveils updates for Instagram and Threads, offering enhanced messaging options and in-app gestures.

Instagram updates:

• Users can now edit messages, pin important ones, disable read receipts, and personalize chats with new themes and stickers.

These features are now available globally, aiming to improve user connections and messaging control.

Threads enhancements:

• Threads introduces swipe gestures for quick liking or hiding of posts in the For You tab.

The updates streamline browsing and interaction within the app.

These additions enhance user experience, with Instagram also testing an App Clip for Reels access without the app installed.  To get access to the new features users should download the latest versions of the apps.
