Widgets will be the focus of the upcoming watchOS 10

According to a report from Bloomberg, watchOS 10 will include substantial changes to the user interface with a new emphasis on widgets.

The updated design will allow users to scroll through different widgets, which will be a central part of the Apple Watch's interface. The widgets will provide information related to activity tracking, weather, stock tickers, calendar appointments, and more, without requiring users to launch dedicated apps.

Bloomberg's report suggests that Apple is considering changing the function of the Apple Watch's Digital Crown. Instead of taking users to the Apple Watch's home screen, the Digital Crown could open up the new widgets interface.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman emphasizes that the new design aims to give users "quicker access to bits of information" with no need for them to launch dedicated apps.
