In March, Kia is set to unveil the EV9 for 2024, which is two years after introducing the concept for a full-size three-row SUV that is as big as an Escalade or Telluride.

Kia is teasing the production version of its upcoming EV9 electric SUV with new photos and videos. The EV9 is expected to be similar in size to large SUVs like the Telluride or Cadillac Escalade, making it an interesting addition to the market. As there aren't many three-row electric vehicles available yet, the EV9 will be a significant competitor to options like the Rivian R1S, Mercedes EQS, Model X, and Model Y (with its cramped third-row seating option).

Kia's EV9 will be the company's second vehicle built on Hyundai's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), following the success of its smaller sibling, the EV6, which launched in 2021. The new media shows only a silhouette of the EV9, which features a more sloped windshield, a slightly reshaped backside, animated front daytime-running LEDs, and flush door handle cutouts. The full design will be revealed in mid-March, with more solid details, including pricing and availability, to be shared at Kia's EV World Premiere event in late March.
