In a recent blog post, TM Roh, the head of mobile at Samsung, gave a sneak peek of what can be expected at the upcoming Unpacked event, hinting that the focus will be on the "Ultra" product line.

In a recent blog post, TM Roh, the head of mobile at Samsung, announced that the company will be holding an in-person launch event on February 1st after a long time due to the pandemic. Although Roh did not reveal many details, he did mention that there will be improvements to the smartphone camera system and two new devices that will "set the new premium standard for innovation."

Based on this information, it is likely that Samsung will unveil two new Ultra devices similar to the S22 Ultra and Tab S8 Ultra from last year.

TM Roh:

For Samsung, Ultra means big. Ultra means bold.
Ultra means the best of the best in performance. To take everyday experiences further, we redefine the essentials.
The upcoming Galaxy is all about camera, performance and sustainability. That’s why our pro-grade camera system is getting smarter. Our performance is getting more powerful.
And our connectivity is getting more seamless.
Our upcoming Galaxy redefines performance and quality, which is how we build on your trust.

In a recent blog post, Samsung's head of mobile, TM Roh, teased the company's upcoming launch event on February 1st, where they will unveil two new devices that will "set the new premium standard for innovation." According to leaks and rumors, it is highly likely that one of these devices will be the S23 Ultra, which will feature a 200-megapixel sensor, a brighter display, a second periscope telephoto lens, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (at least in the US). The S22 Ultra already has one of the best mobile cameras of the past year, so it will be interesting to see what improvements have been made to the camera system.

The other Ultra device is likely to be a Galaxy Book, which Samsung's preorder reservation site lists as an option. According to Roh, "Ultra means big. Ultra means bold. Ultra means the best of the best in performance." However, in this next generation, Ultra may also take on another informal definition: "has a stylus." The S22 Ultra absorbed the Note and its S Pen integration, so it would make sense for a Galaxy Book with the Ultra name to carry the stylus integration through. All will be revealed on February 1st, as we find out exactly what Samsung has to offer.
