Elon Musk tweeted about it after the second part of Twitter Files.

Twitter has started developing tools to notify users if their account has been "shadowbanned". Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced this. The function will explain to the user the reasons for blocking and will help with filing an appeal in case of disagreement. The launch date wasn't revealed.

Musk announced the feature after posting the second part of the 'Twitter Files'. The documents described how former executives used "shadowbans" to limit the popularity of certain accounts.

Two days earlier, a similar feature was announced by Instagram. Adam Mosseri said that the social network will notify users if any restrictions are imposed on published records. Those who disagree will be able to appeal through the application.
