NFT Creators on OpenSea Earn $1 Billion in 2022

NFT creators who sell their work on the OpenSea marketplace have earned over a billion dollars in 2022. Shiva Rajaraman, OpenSea's VP of product, wrote post about this.

The amount includes calculations for the period from January 1 to November 23. Rajamaran revealed that the total is $1.1 billion. He also clarified that the amount doesn’t include grants and sponsorship. About 80% of these amounts came from collections outside the top 10 most expensive on the platform.

OpenSea is one of the biggest marketplaces for selling NFT, but other companies also launch competing services. In October 2022, Meta opened NFT Sharing in Instagram and Facebook. Also, Nike launched a platform called.SWOOSH.
