YouTube offers creators millions to keep their content off Netflix

YouTube is prepared to offer top creators multimillion-dollar deals in exchange for keeping their content off Netflix, Bloomberg reports.
The platform wants creators to make their videos exclusive to YouTube for a set period as it tries to prevent some of its biggest names from moving to rival services.
In return, YouTube is offering to directly fund creators’ projects and give them a share of revenue from major advertising deals with big-name brands.
No agreements have been finalized yet, although YouTube is reportedly close to signing deals with several partners.
Creators who choose to work with Netflix could also lose some of the perks YouTube offers its top talent, including appearances in marketing campaigns and a share of major sponsorship deals.
