Telegram Announces Year-Long Partnership with Grok AI. What’s Changing?

Pavel Durov has announced a one-year partnership between Telegram and the Grok chatbot, which will soon be integrated into the app.

Here’s what’s coming to Telegram this summer:

  • Grok AI will be pinned for all users
  • You’ll be able to ask Grok questions directly from the search bar
  • Topic-based subfolders will be available inside the bot
  • AI-powered rewriting tools, including tone adjustment
  • Summaries of unread messages in various styles
  • PDF and link summarization
  • AI moderation for chats
  • Automated AI replies for users
  • Fact-checking tools for channels
  • AI-generated stickers and avatars

Beyond features, the partnership is also a financial lifeline: Telegram has secured $300 million in cash and equity from Elon Musk, plus 50% of revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via Telegram.
