Meta launches Ray-Ban smart glasses designed for prescription wearers

Meta has unveiled two new Ray-Ban smart glasses designed specifically for prescription wearers.

The new models, Blayzer and Scriber, are part of a new Optic Styles lineup. Blayzer features a rectangular frame available in Standard and Large sizes, while Scriber offers a more rounded design. Both models use slimmer and lighter frames designed for all-day wear.

Meta says the glasses support nearly all prescription types and include adjustable elements such as interchangeable nose pads, flexible hinges and optician-adjustable temple tips to better fit different face shapes.

These are also the most comfortable glasses we’ve ever designed — aimed to better support all-day wear, even if you don’t need a prescription.

The new models will be available in Matte Black, Transparent Black and Transparent Dark Olive.

Pre-orders in the United States open today through Meta and Ray-Ban websites, with availability at optical retailers in the U.S. and select international markets starting April 14. Pricing starts at $499.
