GTA 6 pre-orders open June 25

Rockstar Games has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on June 25.

Players will be able to place their orders through digital storefronts and selected retail partners. Alongside the announcement, Rockstar also unveiled the game's official cover art for the first time.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version is expected to arrive later. Rockstar has not yet disclosed pricing or details about the different editions that will be available.

The story will follow two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

When an easy score lands Jason and Lucia in a conspiracy stretching across the entire state of Leonida, the young criminal couple find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

The road to release has been marked by multiple delays. GTA 6 was originally expected to launch in fall 2025 before being pushed back to November 2026.

Industry analysts estimate that pre-orders alone could generate more than $1 billion in revenue for publisher Take-Two Interactive.
