Apple could unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro on October 27

Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro models and a redesigned iPad mini in late October, marking a major change for its flagship laptops.
The announcement is expected on or around October 27, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the plans. The launch will reportedly include an online presentation and a smaller in-person press event, with a focus on creative professionals in video, photography, and music production.
The main attraction will be redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring OLED touchscreens, a Dynamic Island similar to the one on iPhones, and significantly lighter builds. The laptops are expected to run on Apple's M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
Apple is also preparing an updated iPad mini with an OLED display, a redesigned speaker system, and a repositioned FaceTime camera better suited for landscape video calls.
The lineup is expected to include an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro and an iMac powered by the newer M6 chip. Unlike the touchscreen models, these devices will reportedly retain their existing designs, with the main improvements focused on internal hardware.
