Minecraft to end virtual reality support in 2025, but launches native PlayStation 5 version

Mojang has announced that Minecraft will end support for virtual and mixed reality devices by March 2025, with no further updates for PlayStation VR and other VR/MR platforms after that date.

Players can still enjoy their worlds and access Marketplace purchases on standard devices like computer monitors.

In a positive development, however, Minecraft has finally launched a native PlayStation 5 edition, offering 4K resolution and 60 fps, with PS4 version owners able to claim the upgrade for free.
